Winter school APPRISE

(Fundamentals of trAnsport Phenomena in PoRous medIa across ScalEs)

The FIC (France InterPore Chapter) organizes the winter school APPRISE (labelled as a thematic shool by the CNRS) that includes 5 days of classes and practical work on modeling mass and momentum transport in porous media. This school is composed of

i) a class providing theroretical bases of the physics of flow and species transport in porous media and upscaling methods (9 hours) ;

ii) a thematic class on acquisition and use of images for simulation of transport processes (6 hours) ;

iii) numerical practical works using OpenFoam and COMSOL (15 hours).

The school will take place on the

05 - 09 February 2024

at the centre Paul Langevin

CAES of CNRS - Aussois (Savoie, France).
